Information Collected by Electronics Valley

Credit card information is collected from an individual when joining or renewing a membership, registering for an educational course, or event, or purchasing other services. From time to time, Electronics Valley may use your address, phone number, or email address to provide you with updates and other information that we think may be of interest to you. Additionally, via some emails sent in HTML format by Electronics Valley to its members and e-newsletter subscribers, Electronics Valley may collect specific information regarding what the recipient does with that email. For those emails, Electronics Valley may monitor whether a recipient subsequently clicks through to links provided in the message. Other information collected through this tracking feature includes: email address of a user, name of the list from which the message was sent, and destination page. Electronics Valley will only use this information to enhance its services and distribution of those services to its members and other subscribers. Electronics Valley uses information voluntarily submitted by members and others to Electronics Valley directly and/or to one of its subsidiaries or agents, in the following ways:
 
    Electronics Valley Subscriber and Member Services
    Electronics Valley and its direct subsidiaries use data collected to maintain the user’s membership, to maintain subscription to   
    Electronics Valley’s monthly e-newsletter EV TechNEWS and to provide requested services (i.e., short courses and events).
    To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the Electronics Valley website, members are asked to use  
    their member number and password.
 
    Disclosures to Third Parties
    Electronics Valley may make member contact information available to other members through the “members only” portion of its EV   
    Forum Search function. Electronics Valley does not sell member information to anyone. Member personal information is not shared   
    with third parties other than those acting as agents of Electronics Valley and as directed by Electronics Valley.
    A third party acting on behalf of Electronics Valley may collect event registration information for the purpose of managing the event  
    on behalf of Electronics Valley. Electronics Valley uses third-party services that may collect information on your use of this website

            Credit Card Account Information
            Electronics Valley does not disclose or store credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When 
            members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, the credit card information is transmitted via a secure encryption   
            provided by some third-party services such as FormSmarts, PayPal, Eventbrite, and as such.
 
            Website Analytics            
            Electronics Valley website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).  
            Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

How can users opt out of communications or unsubscribe from EV TechNEWS ?
 
Users who wish to unsubscribe from EV TechNEWS e-newsletter and those who wish to opt-out of receiving one or more types of communications from Electronics Valley, may do so by contacting Electronics Valley via Contact Form provided on the Electronics Valley website, or clicking on the opt-out link provided in the EV TechNEWS e-newsletter. Should neither one works, you can also contact Electronics Valley by emailing to info@electronicsvalley.us.

Electronics Valley undertakes reasonable efforts to ensure that all personally identifiable information collected on Electronics Valley website remains secure. All Electronics Valley staff members are instructed to treat member and customer information confidentially.
